2556th Buddha Jayanti Celebrated in Kirtipur

KIRTIPUR, May 6 – The 2,556th Buddha Jayanti, the birth Anniversary of Lord Gautam Buddha is being celebrated in Kirtipur organizing various programmes with the message of peace and harmony among people on Saturday.

Buddhists around the world, including Nepal, observe Buddha Jayanti which falls on the same day of full moon of the Nepali month of Baisakh.
